Analysts report and explain about all sorts of ways and means of the unit, but the truth of the matter is that they always leave out the true "secret weapon". 

The secret weapon is the Arab people themselves.

If you are a journalist, or a left-wing "activist" and you go to the "street" in any Palestinian town or city and ask a random person what they think of living in coexistence with Jews in peace - they will all give you the same answer - that they will fight the Israeli to their last drop of blood.

This is akin to a journalist in the 1960s going to a USSR city and asking someone what they think of Khrushchev or Brezhnev.

The truth is that many Arabs are not happy with terror leaders who steal their money and resources, and run gangs of terrorists who bring them nothing but suffering. These people are the ones who call up the Shabak, to tell them, like yesterday the exact house where wanted terrorists are hiding.

Those who are willing regularly talk to the Shabak and tell them what is happening, who is buying guns, who is threatening to attack, who is joining what cell.
