This morning, an unknown group, the "National Resistance of Ahwaz" - which claims to be a separatist organization of the Arab minority in Iran - also claims that its people are behind the explosion in the petrochemical complex in Mahshahr.

NEWSRAEL: The unease in this area has been reported for some time. Ethically Arabs, this region is a potential super-headache for Iran as it sits not only on the border with Iraq, but lies on the coast of the Persian Gulf.

There has been in the last few years quite a lot of connections between the Arab people in Ahwaz and Israeli groups, with a surprising (or not) amount of cooperation.
